Shipwreck

Hard substrate, on which sessile animals and plants can settle, is scarce in the sand and mud-dominated Baltic Sea. For this reason, sunken ships are rapidly colonised, offering a welcome substitute habitat for anemones, sponges and mussels – creating a mystical and unique world at the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
